HELLO?
So anyway - a Polish priest writes about "homoheresia" - we'll see how long before he either recants his theories, is silenced, or just ignored. Thank you God that someone else is saying these things.
What are the characteristics of this "homoheresia"?
Homoheresia is a rejection of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church on homosexuality. Supporters of homoheresia do not accept that any homosexual orientation is a personality disorder. They discredit the fact that homosexual acts are against the natural law. Defenders of homoheresia are in favor of the priesthood for gays. Homoheresia is a version of ecclesiastical homosexuality.
In your article you highlight the role of the laity in the struggle for the purification of the Church. What could their role be?
I would like to focus on two concrete things.
The first concerns the way in which the laity must react in cases of sexual abuse involving a minor in ecclesiastical circles, by priests, leaders of prayer groups, teachers, scout, etc.. In these cases, unfortunately, there is a real conspiracy of silence. There is a necessity for greater courage and commitment on the part of the laity.
The second concerns the seminaries. Regrettably, lay people have very little or no knowledge of how future priests are formed. Yet it is actually in the seminaries that who will determine the future of the Church is decided. A greater involvement of the laity is essential in order to avoid the ordination of homosexuals. All the clergy and laity, have to support the efforts of Pope Benedict XVI, who, instead of dividing the active and the passive homosexuality, in official documents introduces a distinction between transitory homosexual tendencies that occur during adolescence, and those deeply rooted.
Both forms of homosexuality, and not only active homosexuality, constitute an impediment to priestly ordination. Homosexuality is incompatible with the priestly vocation. Consequently, not only is it strictly prohibited to ordain men with any type of homosexual tendency (even transient), but also their admission to seminaries. - Read more here.
WHAT HAVE I BEEN SAYING?
Thank you God, for Polish priest. (I said that with my best Boris Badenov accent.)
Men with homosexual tendencies already ordained deacons, priests and bishops retain the validity of their ordination, but they are obliged to observe all the commandments of God and all the provisions of the Church. As with other priests, they should live in chastity and cease any action against the well being of the human person and of the Church, any activities with mafia characteristics and especially attitudes of rebellion against the Pope and the Holy See. Priests afflicted with such disorders are to be strongly directed to undertake appropriate treatment as soon as possible. - ibid
